Margaret’s (Abby Ryder Fortson) world is turned upside down when her family moves from New York to suburban New Jersey, and she has to deal with new friends and a new school.

Her Christian mother and Jewish father have issues of their own and, missing her grandmother (a luminous Kathy Bates), Margaret begins to grapple with some of life’s big questions – religion, periods, bras and boys.

A charming and funny coming of age tale, based on Judy Blume’s classic 1970 novel.
