Join us for the two-day Computer Drawing Arts Award on the 27 & 28 Jan!
This creative journey is designed for young artists aged 7 to 11. Using the engaging Scratch programming language, participants will learn computer drawing techniques that reference the Leicester Pioneers print exhibition currently on display at Phoenix.
During this exciting course, attendees will discover the power of coding to bring their imaginations to life. They'll learn how to craft captivating images by writing simple programs, gaining hands-on experience in digital art creation, they'll also explore the rich history of digital art, delving into the innovative work of pioneering artists.
While a basic understanding of Scratch is preferred, this course is open to young artists with various levels of experience. The program spans two days, and upon completion, attendees will be eligible for an Art Award Discover certificate accredited by Trinity College London.
It would be beneficial if attendees can bring their own laptop although laptops can be provided if needed. Phoenix will be in touch with all attendees prior to the course to discuss requirements.
The workshop is hosted and supported by Phoenix as part of Digital Art Month Leicester: New Generations. Curated by LCB Depot, Interact Digital Arts and New Media Art Club.
