After a botched bank robbery lands his brother in jail, Connie Nikas has to get his hands on $10,000 bail money as soon as possible. Making his way through the seedy underbelly of New York in pursuit of the cash, Connie will go to any lengths to get his brother out.
The Safdie brothers brilliant lo-fi thriller features a sublime performance from Robert Pattinson as the increasingly desperate Connie, and an award-winning soundtrack from Oneohtrix Point Never.
Screening as part of the Criminology Film Season at the University of Leicester, the film will be introduced by an academic with specific expertise in a related area of criminology and after the film there will be a Q&A.
