After twenty years of minimal contact with his mother, Allard Detiger is called by the police. His mother’s neighbours have been complaining. Her house is totally neglected, and professional help is needed.

As her condition deteriorates, the walls between them fade. An intimate film about a child's struggle to be independent from a parent who won't let go, filmed over 10 years.

The screening on Fri 21 Apr will be followed by a Q&A with Director Allard Detiger and Editor Paul de Heer.

Screening as part of REAL Documentary Festival.
