“Composer and saxophonist Binker Golding is one of the most exciting musicians at the heart of the UK's jazz revolution” – EFG London Jazz Festival 2024

We are delighted to be partnering with Leicester Jazz House for a series of concerts this autumn/winter, the first of which is from The Binker Golding Quartet.

Whether it’s with his Americana-inspired jazz band, his duo Binker and Moses, or any other line-up, Binker Golding has a reputation of being one of London’s most hard-hitting jazz performers and is known for his lyrical compositions and tough tenor playing, with songs influenced by the traditions of jazz, blues, Americana and heartland rock.

His albums Abstractions of Reality Past and Incredible Feathers and Dream like a Dogwood Wild Boy are records that not only showcase great jazz playing, but tell stories too. His third solo album – which features Philip Achille (harmonica), Billy Adamson (guitar), Daniel Casimir (bass), Jamie Murray (drums), Benet McLean (violin), Sarah Tandy (piano) and Artie Zaitz (Hammond organ) – is expected to be out in the near future.

Binker was the recipient of the 2020 Jazz FM award for best instrumentalist. He has also won numerous awards with his duo Binker and Moses, with drummer Moses Boyd, including a MOBO award in 2015 for their debut album.

Line-up:

Binker Golding  – tenor sax

Billy Adamson – guitar

Daniel Casimir – bass

Jamie Murray – drums

Runtime includes a 30-minute interval (approx).
