Adapted by Kazuo Ishiguro (The Remains of the Day, Never Let Me Go) from Kurosawa’s 1952 film Ikiru, Living stars Bill Nighy as Mr. Williams, a reserved civil servant in 1950s London.

Having spent has spent his life working in the town planning department. Mr. Williams' life meanders by day to day, until he is faced with a terminal diagnosis that opens his eyes and reminds him he once had an ambition that is so far unfulfilled.

Now nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars, Nighy gives a career-best performance in this profoundly moving film.
