Join us for an evening with Suzanne Alizart, Director of Business Affairs and Operations for Doc Society, whose career spans independent production, funding, policy, and rights management across film and the wider creative industries.

Suzanne began her career after training at Intermedia Film and Video in Nottingham, going on to make short films before moving into regional policy and Lottery-funded film development. She was part of the founding team at EM Media, where she spent a decade and later led on business affairs across their slate.

She has since worked with Ffilm Cymru, re-trained as a solicitor, and spent five years at the University of Leicester supporting academic research contracts and helping SMEs navigate intellectual property. Alongside this, she has continued to support and produce independent documentaries. Recent projects she has worked on at Doc Society include Your Fat Friend, Donna, Nothing Compares, A Bunch of Amateurs, A Story of Bones, Shadow Scholars, Tish, Holloway and A Want in Her.

Please note: this event offers general guidance only. It will not provide legal advice.

After the talk, join us in the Terrace Room for informal networking with fellow filmmakers and artists.
