"★★★★ – a whirlwind tour of rocketing rents and personal tragedy" – Guardian

★★★★ – The Times

Housing prices are skyrocketing in cities around the world. Incomes are not. Fredrik Gertten’s powerful documentary – which features a brand new introduction – sheds light on a new kind of faceless landlord, our increasingly unliveable cities, and an escalating crisis that has an impact on us all. This is not gentrification; it’s a different kind of monster.

Gertten and Leilani Farha, the UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing, travel the globe, trying to understand who’s being pushed out of the city and why.

Push is back in cinemas to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Grenfell Tragedy, and in support of The Grenfell Foundation.

Stick around afterwards for a talk with Laura Mark, an award-winning architecture critic, curator and filmmaker based in London.

This screening is taking place at Leicester's LCB Depot (31 Rutland Street, Leicester, LE1 1RE). LCB Depot’s creative programme is run for and by artists, with different themes throughout the year. In October LCB's programme explores architecture.

Part of our 'Phoenix on Tour' programme, taking place across September and October.
