Discover the works of some of the most celebrated and prominent LGBTQ+ filmmakers of the last few decades.


The course will comprise of an overview and analysis of several queer director’s films, including works from Todd Haynes (Safe, Far From Heaven), Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, Queer), Celine Sciamma (Portrait of a Lady on Fire), Cheryl Dunye (Watermelon Woman) and Andrew Haigh (Weekend, All of Us Strangers).

ABOUT THE TUTOR


Dr Connor Winterton is subject area lead and lecturer in Media Studies at Loughborough College. Connor has a PhD in Media and Cultural Studies, has lectured at undergraduate level, and has taught numerous short courses at Phoenix. Connor also produces and hosts the pop culture podcast Connor-tations, available for free on Spotify, and is also a reviewer and interviewer for the online publication Borrowing Tape.
