Filmed in 2019, Jens Meurer’s beautifully shot film centres on Cromer’s famous ‘end of the pier’ show – the last of its kind in the world and still going strong.
The show and its performers are the magnificent main attraction, against a backdrop of a seaside town, its eccentricities and its people.
The shadow of Brexit lurks in the background, though despite the well documented tension around the subject, it isn’t present here in the German filmmakers glorious documentary.
