Tetsuo: The Iron Man 18

Following a hit and run, an ordinary man is hunted by the Metal Fetishist and finds himself under a curse which transforms his body into a mutilated iron monstrosity.

Filmed largely in his own house and out of his own pocket, Shin’ya Tsukamoto combines Lynch, Cronenberg, Švankmajer and Ballard and achieves a gloriously grotesque film that has served as the prototype to many more Japanese horrors.

Experimental body horror at its finest.
