"★★★★ – Another acerbic, dangerous, darkly amusing, and heartbreakingly sad character drama from a modern master of shifting tones" – Total Film
"★★★★ – As a study of male loneliness and swallowed anger, it is weirdly compelling and often very funny" – Guardian

Martin McDonagh reunites his In Bruges leading men in this terrific black comedy, set on a remote Irish island. Colm (Gleeson) and Padraic (Farrell) are the best of friends until one day, quite suddenly and inexplicably to Padraic, Colm decides they are not.
As Padraic tries to make amends, it begins to feel like dire consequences could be on the cards for both men. Completing McDonagh’s ‘Aran Island Trilogy’ (the first two highly acclaimed stage plays The Cripple of Inishmaan and The Lieutenant of Inishmore), The Banshees of Inisherin is as deeply funny as it is painfully moving.
