Loving Vincent directors DK & Hugh Welchman return with another feast for the eyes, this time adapting Władysław Reymont’s novel of the same name, which won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1924.

Filmed first in live action and then painstakingly recreated as around 40,000 oil paintings to create a rich and engaging visual treat, telling the story of four seasons in a rural Polish village and examining the interaction between humans and the natural world.
