★★★★ – Time Out

After a 4K restoration which took 6 months to complete, we’re proud to present this classic British fantasy-horror on the big screen.

Based on a short story by Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, The Queen of Spades tells the tale of Countess Ranevskaya (Evans) who has sold her soul to the devil in order to keep winning at cards.

Disillusioned soldier Captain Herman Suvorin (Walbrook) becomes obsessed with finding her secret but on his quest falls for her young companion Lizaveta Ivanova (Mitchell).

As he begins to edge closer to the truth, the story takes a decidedly spooky turn.
