Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, Crash) is on incredible form in the deeply moving new film from Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan), following withdrawn and obese English teacher Charlie as he tries to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter (an electrifying Sadie Sink, Stranger Things).

This is being heralded as something of a renaissance for Fraser and he has grabbed the opportunity with both hands, delivering the performance of his career and emerging as the favourite for the Best Actor Oscar.
