"★★★★ – a nuanced, intimate, and hopeful look at an unfathomable situation" – Radio Times

★★★★ – Eye for Film

Rúnar Rúnarsson's tender film is set across one day – following young Icelandic art student Una from sunrise to sunset as she suffers the loss of her first love Diddi.

Una and Diddi's relationship had recently shifted from close friendship into romance, too quickly for word to reach Diddi’s long-distance girlfriend Klara (Katla Njálsdóttir) who is now in town in the wake of his passing.

The stark Icelandic landscape accompanied by the gorgeous music of the sadly departed Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, make for a moving, elegiac experience.

Icelandic with English subtitles.
