When a discarded Oscar statuette is found by a cinema-loving young boy (he stays up past his bedtime to watch Jafa Panahi's Taxi) in a remote village on the edge of the Kavir desert, it begins a journey into past and present Iranian cinema.
The boy is collecting scrap for Nasser and Saber, who are actually Iranian film stars hiding from the authorities, and that is just the start of this charming and fond love letter to the past masters and current persecuted filmmakers of Iran.
