Joan Andrews (Manville), a British professor visiting Warsaw for a conference in 1981, finds herself in terrible danger as martial law is imposed during her visit. With the borders closed and Joan herself becoming a witness to a murder, the academic finds herself in terrible danger with a target on her back.

Inspired by Nobel Prize-winning author Olga Torkarczuk’s acclaimed short story “Professor Andrews Goes to Warsaw,” director Kasia Adamik brings to life a chilling, brutalist nightmare in this tense cold-war thriller.
