Screenings throughout December

As part of the BFI Musicals season we celebrate the genius of Gene Kelly, with a selection of his greatest films throughout December.

Actor, dancer, choreographer and director, Kelly did it all as one of the brightest stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, appearing in films alongside the likes of Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth and even Jerry, the mouse from the Tom and Jerry cartoon series!

Stuart Peters will be introducing some of the films in the Gene Kelly Christmas season, and is the tutor for our Musical Film short course on Saturday 25 January.

Stuart is a De Montfort University graduate in BA Film Studies and MA Film Production, and has written and produced his own short musical in collaboration with Pinewood Studios. From an early age Stuart had a passion for musical film, with Gene Kelly his childhood idol.
