Black History Month
For Black History Month 2023, Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage have programmed a series of films exploring the themes of Representation, Relocation and Revelation. The films make reference to key anniversaries including the seventy-fifth anniversary arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush and the sixtieth anniversary Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech. However, they explore the often-untold stories, enriching narratives and connections across the African and African Caribbean Diaspora.
Please note: films without BBFC certification can only be screened to over 18s. This does not necessarily indicate that the films in this season contain adult content.
