We are pleased to announce the launch of our new exhibition Place and Memory, which explores the heritage and legacy of Phoenix. Coinciding with our 60th birthday, the exhibition features interactive digital works by emerging artists Martin Cibik and Adam Stephenson, who have been mentored by Sean Clark as part of REAL Initiative, alongside Sean's own work and original soundscapes by Calum Vaughan.
The digital works incorporate archival materials which have been donated by members of the public or uncovered by our digital arts team, and help to tell the story of Phoenix’s rich cultural history since it was founded in 1963.
Through integrated motion sensors, virtual reality, projection mapping and audio-visual pieces, exhibition visitors will be taken on an immersive journey to reminisce about Phoenix’s past, and look ahead to what the future holds.
Join us for the exhibition launch, which will include an informal drinks reception. The artists and exhibition curator will also be present, giving you the chance to hear more about their work.
Tickets are FREE.
