After his mother’s tragic death, Mahito moves to a new town with his father and stepmother, but struggles to fit.

A curious grey heron begins to follow him around, and leads him to believe his mother is still alive in an abandoned tower. Upon entering the tower, Mojito is transported to another world.

Thought to be legendary Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki’s (My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away) last film, The Boy and the Heron is full of his trademark fantasy and magic we've come to know and love over the years.

These screenings are of the English language version featuring the voices of Christian Bale, Robert Pattinson and Florence Pugh. See below to book for screenings of the Japanese language version of the film with English subtitles.

Please note: The 11.30am screening on Thu 11 Jan, is part of our Cinema Bambino programme. This screening is exclusively for parents and carers with babies under 12 months old. Customers must be accompanied by a child under 12 months to be permitted entry.
