After his mother’s tragic death, Mahito moves to a new town with his father and stepmother, but struggles to fit in as he deals with his grief.

A curious grey heron begins to follow him around, and leads him to believe his mother is still alive in an abandoned tower. Upon entering the tower, Mojito is transported to another world.

Thought to be legendary Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki’s (My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away) last film, The Boy and the Heron is full of his trademark fantasy and magic (plus unbelievable animated food) we've come to know and love over the years.

These screenings are of the Japanese language version of the film with English subtitles. See below to book for screenings of the English language version featuring the voices of Christian Bale, Robert Pattinson and Florence Pugh.
