An Eastern interpretation of Anton Chekhov's acclaimed play, following the conflict that arises when an elderly professor and his glamorous, younger wife return to the rural estate that supports their urban lifestyle.
Out of respect and admiration for his brother-inlaw, Professor Serebryakov, Vanya gave up his own personal happiness and, together with his niece Sonia, worked hard to run the estate and support the professor. When the professor returns with his beautiful new wife and announces his intent to sell the estate, Vanya and Sonia are forced to consider the choices they have made and the path their lives have taken.
