‘Are We There Yet?’ Film Festival

Sat 23 Mar, 8pm: Thelma & Louise

Come down early to our festival’s opening night and chill out with some special character cocktails, country music and a photobooth in our desert-themed Café Bar. The film will be introduced by some of the ‘Are We There Yet?’ festival team from DMU.

Sun 24 Mar, 12.00pm: Hunt for the Wilderpeople

Join us for Phoenix’s Lazy Sunday offer – the film, a cooked breakfast and a drink for £13.95 / £12.40 conc. You’ll need to book at box office for this (you can call 01162422800 or ask in-person), and tickets solely for the film are available too. For this one-off event we’ll be decorating the Café Bar with a jungle theme, and offering Ricky Baker birthday cupcakes!

 

Tue 26 Mar, 8.30pm: Film Quiz

The festival team take over the Phoenix film quiz for one night only. This time the quiz will revolve around the theme of journeys, and we’ll be providing creative and thought-provoking rounds, plus some great prizes. Tables are first come, first served. £1 per person to enter, max 6 players per team.

Wed 27 Mar, 8pm: The Seventh Seal

Fancy a game of chess? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to learn how to play? Come down before the film and borrow a chessboard provided by us. The film will be introduced by Laraine Porter, Reader in Cinema History at DMU.

Fri 29 Mar, 6.15pm: Mystery Film

This month’s mystery film has been specially curated for the festival. And for one night only, there’ll be a free raffle to win some mystery prizes.

Sat 30 Mar, 11am: Moana – Sing-Along – SOLD OUT!

The perfect Saturday morning treat… singing along with Moana! Free temporary tattoos and Hawaiian necklaces will be available to all.

Come along for a night of anti-heroes travelling through the grimy underbelly of LA – and receive your very own free Video Production News business card, with a free raffle to win a poster and a VPN t-shirt.
