A Grand Tour

Fri 17 – Sat 25 Mar

Since its arrival at the end of the 19th century, cinema has given people the chance to travel the world through the magic of the movies. A Grand Tour celebrates cinema’s ability to take us out of our own lives and into new worlds – be they wondrous and strange, exotic or dangerous.

The festival also commemorates the father of modern tourism, Leicester’s very own Thomas Cook (1808-1892), whose innovative business made travel accessible to ordinary people not just the wealthy elite.

The festival is curated and delivered in partnership with De Montfort University Film Studies students – come along and support the next generation of film industry professionals.
