Now digitally remastered, this comedy drama is one of director Sadao Yamanaka’s masterpieces, and breaks from the generally sombre Samurai genre.


The story begins with a man palming off an old pot to his brother whose wife then sells it to a junk dealer, who in turn sells it to a young boy named Yasu.


When it comes to light that hidden inside the pot is a treasure map leading to fortune, a madcap search for the bounty begins.
