Visible Bits, Audible Bytes is an event at Phoenix which champions the soundtrack and explores the relationship between sound and the moving image. The event brings together leading international artists to present contemporary works alongside significant historical works from the archives of the BFI.

This year we’re proud to present an international programme featuring a performance of Frequencies (Synthetic Variations) by Nicolas Bernier amongst a selection of live works, compositions and screenings. We'll also be launching an exhibition by Nicolas in the cube gallery space.

Talks (courtyard suites): 3 - 5pm
Frequencies (a) exhibition launch: 5pm
Main Concert (screen 2): 6:30pm
VJ Performances (cafebar): 8pm - late

Booking for the talks and main concert is essential as places are limited

The exhibition and event has been curated by Andrew Hill of the Music, Technology and Innovation Research Centre (De Montfort University), in partnership with Phoenix.
